Dr. Monica Taing graduated from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy Studies where she completed Endocannabinoid Receptor System research. As a Board Member of the Association for Cannabis Health Equity & Medicine (ACHEM), Dr. Taing implements her expertise in patient counseling, healthcare provider training, and public health outreach to promote Endocannabinoid (ECS) science, cannabinoid medicine education for empowered patient autonomy, and evidence-based best practices in pharmacovigilance.
Since working as the first Patient Experience Manager at a licensed alternative treatment center in New Jersey for several years, today, Dr. Taing is a clinical cannabis consultant for licensed dispensaries, hospital systems, and academic medical institutions in multiple states.
Having worked as a Medical Science Liaison for 4Front Ventures, Dr. Taing trains licensed medical providers and clinical practice sites as a clinical consultant specialist for Columbia University’s Northeast/Caribbean AIDS Education Training Center (NEC-AETC) and sits on the Editorial Board of the American Journal of Endocannabinoid Medicine (AJEM). Dr. Taing is passionate about clinical research, multidisciplinary clinical outreach, and harm reduction advocacy for under-served patient populations. Dr. Taing's affiliations include advocating as the National Director of Research & Clinical Education for Minorities for Medical Marijuana (M4MM), a healthcare research member of Society of Cannabis Clinicians, and having served as the first pharmacist appointed to the Board of Directors for Doctors for Cannabis Regulation (DFRC).
