Mental health is a public health crisis. While mental illness affects everyone Black and Brown people experience mental illness at disproportionate rates due to lack of access and awareness. Mental health disparities is a legislative issue that requires advocacy to shape and shift the mental health landscape and help those most vulnerable prevent and cope with mental illness. Panelists will unpack how constituents and legislators can promote advocacy and support mental health related legislation to close gaps in Black and Brown mental health disparities through actionable steps.
