About this session

What if 60% of New Yorkers had postsecondary credentials by 2030? Now more than ever economic opportunity and financial security are intertwined with educational attainment. Jobs that require postsecondary education do not just provide a greater job security, they also provide higher income. To improve the state's overall competitiveness, close gaps in postsecondary attainment and improve the quality of the workforce New York should adopt an ambitious, equity driven attainment goal. This forum would have two goals: 1) share why an attainment goal is important 2) share policy levers that can move us toward accomplishing an ambitious attainment goal.
